Happy Groundhog Day!

What groundhog day would be complete without a groundhog iPod case? Check out this adorable tutorial on Wild Olive's blog:

And... happy feelings gone.

Fresh out of the washing machine- my hopelessly snarled long eighths of fabric. It took me about a half an hour to disentangle it.

Anna had a good time. She likes to play with the clumps of thread I cut away from the knots.

Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping my fabric from knotting in the washing machine?

Hearts for Haiti

If you have a love for handcrafted things, please consider doing some shopping at the Hearts for Haiti shop on Etsy. Sellers from all over Etsy are coming together here to donate items to a public shop being used to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders. Over $13,000 has already been rasied!

Welcome to the Girls Like Trucks blog!

Hello from Michigan! My name is Jen. I am a stay-at-home mom to Anna, an adventurous little girl who likes dresses and dinosaurs. When I am shopping for Anna, I often find myself in the boy's department because that's where I find the things that interest her- fire truck pajamas, helicopter shirts, etc. A few months ago I had a thought, "Wouldn't it be great if they actually made things like this for girls?" and Girls Like Trucks was born. Currently I am focusing on ponytail holders in boy themes- cars, bicycles, dinosaurs, etc. I hope to expand to clothing items as my little business starts to grow. You can find my shop at girlsliketrucks.etsy.com.
